This privacy policy explains how Laptech Hub Electronics LLC handles personal data collected through laptech.ae and through enquiries made to us by email, phone or WhatsApp.

2. What we collect
- Account and order details: name, email address, phone number, delivery address, billing address.
- Order information: the products you bought, invoices, delivery records and serial numbers of the units supplied to you.
- Business enquiry data: company name, job title, industry, quantities, and any requirement document, BOQ or spreadsheet you upload.
- Support and warranty data: the correspondence, photographs and device details you send us when raising a claim.
- Trade-in data: device details, condition, and the photographs you submit for valuation.
- Marketing preferences: whether you have opted in to receive our emails.
We do not collect or store your full payment card details at any point.
3. Why we use it
- To process orders, take payment, deliver goods and issue invoices
- To prepare and send quotations in response to your enquiry
- To handle returns, warranty claims and trade-in valuations
- To provide customer support and respond to your messages
- To prevent fraud and verify high-value or unusual orders
- To meet our tax, accounting and legal obligations in the UAE
- To improve the website and our product range
- To send marketing emails, where you have opted in
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
4. Payment information
Card payments are processed by our payment provider, [PAYMENT-PROVIDER]. Your card details are entered on their secure system and are never received or stored by us. We see only the result of the transaction and the last digits of the card for reconciliation.
5. Who we share data with
We share only what is necessary, and only with:
- couriers and freight forwarders, so your order can be delivered;
- our payment provider, to process the transaction;
- manufacturers and authorised service centres, where a warranty claim requires it;
- our hosting, email and analytics providers, who process data on our instructions;
- government authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.
We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
6. Where your data is stored
Our website and systems are hosted with service providers whose infrastructure may be located outside the United Arab Emirates. Where data is transferred outside the UAE, we use providers who apply recognised security and data protection standards.
7. How long we keep it
- Order, invoice and tax records: for the retention period required by UAE tax and commercial law.
- Warranty and serial number records: for as long as the warranty may be claimed, plus a reasonable period afterwards.
- Quotation and enquiry records: while the enquiry is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for follow-up.
- Marketing contact details: until you unsubscribe.
- Uploaded requirement documents and trade-in photographs: until the enquiry is closed and no longer needed.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct data that is wrong or out of date;
- delete data we no longer have a legal reason to keep;
- stop sending you marketing emails;
- stop processing your data for a particular purpose.
Email info@laptech.ae with your request. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on it, so that we do not disclose your data to someone else. We respond to requests within 30 days.
Some data cannot be deleted on request where we are legally required to keep it — invoices and tax records are the usual example.
9. Marketing emails
We send marketing emails only to people who have opted in. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional messages about an order you have placed.
10. Security
The website runs over an encrypted connection. Access to customer data is restricted to staff who need it for their role, admin areas are protected, and uploaded files are validated and stored outside the public web directory.
No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required.
11. Children
This website is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Cookies
Cookies and similar technologies are covered separately in our Cookie Policy, which lists the categories in use and explains how to change your choices.
13. Other websites
Our site links to manufacturer sites, courier tracking pages and social media. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your data. Read their privacy policies before submitting anything to them.
14. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top of the page shows the current version. Where a change is significant, we will make it visible on the website rather than relying on you to check.
15. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, contact us first at info@laptech.ae so we can put it right. You may also raise the matter with the relevant data protection authority in the United Arab Emirates.
