1. Two kinds of warranty
A product bought from Laptech Hub may carry a manufacturer warranty, a seller warranty from us, or both. They are not the same thing, and the difference matters when you make a claim.
- Manufacturer warranty — provided by the brand, serviced through their authorised service centres, and governed by their terms and their regional coverage.
- Seller warranty — provided by Laptech Hub, and handled by us directly. This normally applies to refurbished and open-box units where no manufacturer cover remains.
Every product page states which warranty applies and for how long. If a product page does not show warranty information, ask us before you order and we will confirm it in writing.
2. Cover by condition
- New — the manufacturer’s standard warranty for that model and region, as stated on the product page.
- Open box — the remaining balance of the manufacturer warranty, where the unit is still covered.
- Refurbished — Laptech Hub seller warranty of [REFURBISHED-WARRANTY] from the date of invoice.
Extended warranty and on-site service are available on some models and are quoted at the time of order.
3. What is covered
- Manufacturing defects and component failure under normal use
- Repair, or replacement of the faulty part
- Replacement of the unit where repair is not viable
A product that is faulty on arrival is treated as a delivery issue rather than a warranty claim, and is handled under our Return Policy. Tell us within 48 hours of delivery.
4. What is not covered
- Accidental damage, liquid damage, drops, cracked screens and broken ports
- Normal wear — battery capacity loss within expected degradation, worn keycaps, cosmetic marks, hinges damaged by force
- Damage from power surges, unsuitable voltage, dust, heat or humidity beyond the product’s rated operating conditions
- Unauthorised repair, an opened chassis where the manufacturer prohibits it, or a removed or altered serial label
- Software faults, operating system problems, malware, and any loss of data
- Consumables and bundled accessories, unless stated separately
- Products used outside the region their warranty covers, where the manufacturer refuses service on that basis
5. How to make a claim
- Submit a warranty request from the support centre on this website, or email info@laptech.ae.
- Include your invoice number, the serial number of the unit, and a clear description of the fault.
- Attach photographs or a short video where the fault can be seen.
- We confirm whether the claim goes to the manufacturer or is handled by us directly, and issue a claim reference.
- The unit is assessed. If the fault turns out to be outside warranty, we tell you the repair cost before any work begins.
Keep your invoice. It is the proof of purchase date that a warranty claim is measured from.
6. Turnaround
Assessment and repair times depend on the manufacturer’s service centre and on parts availability. Typical turnaround is [WARRANTY-TURNAROUND]. Where a repair is going to take longer than expected, we will tell you rather than leave you waiting.
7. Back up your data first
Warranty service can involve replacing storage or reimaging a device. Back up everything before you send a unit in. We are not responsible for data lost during warranty service, and we cannot recover data from a replaced drive.
If a device holds sensitive business or personal data, tell us before you send it so the handling can be discussed.
8. Regional coverage
Manufacturer warranties are often limited to the region a unit was sold into. A unit serviced outside that region may be refused or charged for. If you are exporting equipment, confirm the coverage region with us before shipping, and we will state it in your quotation.
9. Business and fleet customers
On-site service, next-business-day response and extended cover are available on selected products and are quoted per order. For fleet purchases, ask us to confirm the warranty terms in the quotation so that every unit in the order carries the same cover and the same end date.
10. Your rights under UAE law
This policy sits alongside your rights under the consumer protection laws of the United Arab Emirates. Those rights apply regardless of any warranty period stated here, and nothing in this policy reduces them.
